Within the framework of the “Bridges of Trade” project was held a conference for recruitment of SME’s in Armenia, which is a joint operational program of the Black Sea basin. The organizers are the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Armenia and “Event Center” company.
The main goals of the “BRIDGES OF TRADE” joint project are to reduce the existing barriers between the agriculture, producers and consumers of the four EU partner countries, the development of a BRIDGES OF TRADE NETWORK, Implementation of SME’s trainings, organization of “BRIDGES” events, as a result, establishment of new trade relations, development. In order to implement the program more effectively, the international trade research on agricultural and related products was conducted in advance, as well as the companies that were potential beneficiaries were identified.
The researches were conducted to identify the sub-sectors/products that could contribute to the strengthening of business and trade ties between the beneficiary countries. The program is expected to have a lasting impact on agriculture and related sectors, as well as to expand already established trade links.
During the conference, the nature of the project, the content, the implementation procedures, as well as the implementation methods, the expected results were presented in detail. As a result of the analysis of the questionnaires filled out by the participants, the final beneficiaries of the program will be selected within a maximum of 10 days. The whole selection process will be conducted exclusively in clear and transparent conditions, all participating SME’s will be informed in writing about the results.
In the next stages of the project, will be organized training courses, “BRIDGES” event in Armenia, as well as the participation of Armenian SME’s in the two-day “BRIDGES” events in partner countries (Greece, Moldova, Romania), 6 buyers will leave for each country from Armenia.
Such events contribute to the establishment of direct mutually beneficial cooperation in production and trade between the businessmen of the regions.
